Empties #3 Beauty and Nail Polish stuff

Happy Friday everybody!
The weekend is almost here and I'm looking forward to it! I really wanted to have a clean and tidy house, so I can park my behind on the sofa and just stay there for the entire weekend if I so please. So that means throwing out the garbage... Time for an empties post!

I have a lot of stuff, so let's get started!

Treacle Moon Bath and Shower Gel. I have 2 of these, her lavender story and one ginger morning. Does the packaging remind you of another brand? Yup, total Philosophy ripoff, but still... I love these shower gels! They smell so good and I couldn't stop sniffing them! I normally don't like lavender as a scent, but this smells like a cupcake with only the faintest hint of lavender. So good! My husband loved these too, he used them as bubble bath.

L'Oreal Elvive Hydra krul instant miracle. I showed you my empty shampoo bottle in last months empties post and this is the intensive conditioner that goes with it. I love this stuff and will always repurchase. You apply this to your hair, leave it in for about a minute and rinse it out. My hair has never felt softer!

Bioderma Solution Miscellaire. I think everybody has heard about this particular product and raved about it. I'm no different. This is an awesome product! I use it twice a day, every day to take off make-up and cleanse my skin and my skin has never looked better. Unfortunately, I can't get it here, so I have to take a trip to France to get it... I picked up this bottle (and the one I'm currently using) while I was on holiday and hopefully I will be able to pick up some more this summer. Otherwise I will have to order online and that will cost me dubble if not triple.

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub. Another product I don't have access too here, but picked up in France on holiday. I liked this face scrub a lot, but I am currenlty using another one that I like just as much. It did a great job though and it smelled really nice.

Kruidvat Q10 eye cream. I showed this in my first empties post and raved about it. I still really love it, but the last month or so that I used this, it irritated my eye area a little. No redness or anything like that, but I could feel it burn just a bit and that is not something I want in an eyecream.

The Beauty Bakery Cleansing Whip Cucumber. I love, love, loved this stuff! It's really gentle for my face and cleans it really well, without drying out my face. The only thing I didn't like is the smell. I hate chemical cucumber scents and this reeked of it... I originaly ordered the Watermelon version of this whip, but that wasn't in stock, so they send me this one. I will definitely repurchase this producte, but not this scent.

Lush Lip Scrub Bubblegum. I didn't really care for this scrub... It smelled way too sweet and maybe I'm just not using this right, but the scrub tends to get everywhere except on my lips... If anyone has any tips on this, I'd love to hear them!

L'Oreal Skin Perfection. I love this moisturizer. It hydrates my skin, making it nice and soft and didn't cause me to break out. I allready repurchased and am using my second tub. The third one is waiting to be openend after that.

ROC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Anti-Age Moisturizer sample. I received this in a beauty box and I loved it. Really moisturizing and it made my skin feel really nice. I will be buying a full size of this after I've finished the L'Oreal moisturizer I'm currently using runs out.

Dolce & Gabbana La Lune. This is one of my favorite scents and it lasted me a long time. I got this bottle from my sister, who didn't care for it, so lucky me!

Essence Studio Nails Better than gel nails nail polish remover with acetone. This was fine, it did the job. Nothing special.

Etos Nail Polish remover with acetone. This is my favorite remover. It does the job quick and easy and it's cheap. This bottle is € 1. I've already bougt 3 more bottles.

P2 hand scrub (I forgot the actual name). This isn't empty as you can see. A friend of mine bought this, hated it and gave it to me to test. I hated it just as much as she did. You have to shake it up to get the oil and scrub particals to mix, but when you shake it, unscrew the cap and try to poor it on your hands, all you get is oil. The scrub sinks to the bottom in half a second. Crap product!

Lush Lemony Flutter. I can't believe I actually finished this, but I did! *proud moment*
I love this, it makes my cuticles nice and soft and the smell... oh boy... I will be buying a new tub very shortly!

Essence nail polish corrector pen. This is what I use to clean up any mistakes I make when painting my nails. Nothing special, but it does the job and it's cheap.

OPI nail polish corrector pen. I used this before the Essence one, but it does the same thing, only I had to pay 4 times as much... won't be repurchasing this.

Miners MAXI Waterproof mascara. Click here for my full review.

Maybelline The Rocket mascara in black. I have a love-hate relationship with this mascara. I love the fact that it seperates my lashes and gives me volume, I don't love the fact that it tends to clump on my if I use more than 1 layer. So I used this as my first layer mascara and used a different one for the second (and sometimes third) layer.

Perfume samples, Kenzo Flower, Davidoff Sensual Essence and Issey Miyake Pleats Please. I liked all of these, especially Sensual Essence. That smelled like pure honey, so nice! I might buy a full size of that one, but the other 2 were ok, but I didn't love them.

And finally, candles! As I said in my little candle haul, I always have a scented candle burning. In the pas mont, I burned a few Yankee Candle votives and a the last of my Bath&BodyWorks candles. I have only 1 of those left and I'm saving that like a crazy person because I love the smell (twisted pepermint).

Yankee Candles:
Sugared Apple: A deliciously sweet apple treat . . . a perfect recipe of juicy apples sprinkled with sugar and vanilla.
Christmas Cookie: The irresistible aroma of freshly baked Christmas cookies is as much a part of the holidays as the twinkling lights on the tree and the stockings hung by the chimney with care. No holiday would seem complete without nibbling on some of these homemade delights. You'll find every delicious note in the buttery rich, vanilla scent of this memorable fragrance.
Christmas Tree: Like going out in the snow to find that special tree . . . fresh, familiar pine with crisp eucalyptus.

Bath&BodyWorks:
Bonfire Maplewood: This cozy fragrance inspired by gathering round the crackling fires of fall combines sweet fig, cardamom, warm vanilla and firewood notes.
Frosted Gingerbread: A warm, spicy scent that conjures up the magical smells of a holiday kitchen. Gingerbread, whipped vanilla frosting, sprinkled with light brown sugar.
French Baquette: The fresh from the oven fragrance of warm baked bread waiting from a Parisian cafe.
Winter: A fragrance that conjures up the moment when glittering icicles and sparkling sbow transform the landscape - notes of pine needles, clementines and winter woods.

That's it, all my trash for the last couple of months! I hope you enjoyed this post and if you read it all: well done, I'm proud of you!

Empties #2 Beauty and nail polish stuff

I have another load of trash for you today. It seems like only a few weeks ago that I did the first Empties post, but it has been almost 3 months. Since I got a lot of nice reactions to the first post, I deceided to do another one.

I do have quite a few things to show you, so let's get started!

First up: candles. I love scented candles, especially the Bath and Bodyworks candles, but I can't get them over here. Luckily, I was able to order some via eBay, but with the hefty shipping fee, I can only get the votive ones. Yankee Candle is also a favorite and they are available over here, so I tend to opt for those nowadays.

I burned quite a few of them the past few months, but they where mostly Yankee Candle votives and they don't come in a container, so I have nothing to show you. If you're interested, I burned Red Velvet, Apple and Pine Needle and Fireside Treats.

I also burned the small tumbler in Sparkling Snow and 2 Bath&Bodyworks votives in Vanilla Bean Noel and Merry Cookie. I loved them all! I really want a bigger version of Fireside Treats and I wish I could get my hands on a 3-wick Merry Cookie.

Next is some nail polish stuff.

I used up several of the Essence Nail Art acetone free nail polish remover. This used to be my favorite polish remover, but lately I've been liking remover with acetone more. It just gets the polish off quicker, especially glitter polish.

Trind Nail Balsam. I love this stuff! You apply it to your cuticles, leave it for a couple of minutes and then rub the remainder all over your nails. It makes my nails and cuticles look so healty and hydrated. I scraped out the last bit untill I couldn't get any more out, because this is rather expensive. I'll have to pay € 15 for a new bottle. I did pick up something simular from a different brand that was a lot cheaper, so fingers crossed I will like that just as much or more.

HK Girl top coat. I have been using Seche Vite for ages and a few months ago I just wanted to try different brands, so I ordered a few, including this one. I'm planning to do a comparison post between all the fast drying top coats I'm currently testing, so stay tuned for that!

CND Stickey base coat. I have gone through several bottles of this base coat and will go through a lot more, as this is my absolute favorite base coat. It protects my nails from staining, doesn't dry them out and makes my mani last. What more could I want?

Essence Fame Fatal, Catrice Golden Twenties and Catrice I'm not a Greenager. I almost never empty a bottle of nail polish and here I have 6 for you! Yes, really 6!!! How did I manage that???
Well, not by putting the polish on my nails, that's for sure! I tried to do a little DIY with this polish and some glass Christmas ornaments. Let's just say I'm not that creative and it was a big fat fail, but I did empty the polish.

Eucerin day cream sample. I can't remember exactly which cream it was and I threw the tube away allready. It was ok but nothing special, so I won't purchase a full size.

NYC face primer. Oh boy... I hated this stuff! It did nothing for my skin, didn't keep my make up on any longer and it has some kind of micro glitter in it that made my face shin and sparkle like nobody's bussiness... I only used it about 5 times before I tossed it aside. I hope a friend of mine will like it, but I will never again put this on my face.

Garnier moisturizer. Nice cream, but it did nothing for my skin. It was just not moisturizing enough and I ended up buying another cream to do the job and this just stood there for about 6 months... time to go!

L'Oreal EverPure No Sulfates Color Care System. The consistancy of both these producst is nice and thick and the shampoo lathers up perfectly. It smells absolutely divine. It reminds me of the salon shampoo smell, love it! It moisturizes my hair and the conditioner makes my hair soft and shiny. They do a great job cleaning my hair, but when I run my fingers through my hair, it feels like there's a residue on it, like a film around my hair and it feels... icky...

If you ask me if I will repurchase them, the answer is no.
Aside from the residue-feeling, there is something that I just don't like about my hair when I use this shampoo and conditioner. It seems... less vibrant and... I don't know... bouncy than usual. Not a bad product, not at all, but just not right for me.

Lush Sylvia Cynthia Stout. LOVE this shampoo! It cleans my hair thoroughly and the smell... I had to get used to it at first, because it does smell like stout (dark beer like Guinness), but I happen to love Guinness! I only needed the tiniest amount and this little bottle lasted me for almost 6 months! I will definitely repurchase.

Dove deodorant. My favorite deodorant. It works well and keeps me fresh all day. Nothing special, just deodorant...

Fa deodorant. I hated this! It stung my armpits and gave me a rash. Needless to say I only used it a few times before deciding to throw it out!

L'Oreal Elvive Hydra Krul Shampoo. This is my alltime favorite shampoo. I love the way it cleans my hair without waying it down. It smells nice and it lasts me a long time. I've allready repurchased and am currently using this shampoo again.

Too Faced Primed and Poreless. I received this little tube as a free sample when I purchased my Too Faced Shadow Insurance and I really liked it. It did what a primer is supposed to do and didn't break my out. I can only get Too Faced online these days and I love the primer I'm using right now, so I don't think I will purchase the full size any time soon, but if I get another sample, I will happily use it.

L'Oreal Lash Architect 4D Mascara. I like this mascara and have gone through 2 or 3 tubes. It defines my lashes, gives some volume and it's really black. But the last tube I used flaked on me like crazy and I was glad when I finished it. I won't repurchase this, as I'm currently using other mascara's that I like better.

Etos concealer pen. Didn't like this. It was to dark, thick and it slided of my face in about 3 hours. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Catrice made to stay inside eye highlighter pen. I liked the product, but I hated the packaging! It stayed all day, felt nice and was the perfect color for me, but the packaging... It's a twist up pencil, but the actual product was so loose inside the pen, it kept falling out. Now, I don't know how you feel about picking up product of the floor and sticking it in your eye, but in my humble opinion, this is not a good thing... It fell so many times, after a while I got tired of cleaning this thing and decided to chuck it.

That's it, all the products I recently used up.
I would love to read about all the products you used up and your opinion on them, so please leave me a link if you did a video or blogpost.

Empties #1 Beauty and nail polish stuff

I love watching empties video's on Youtube and I seem to have been collection mine for a while now, even though I don't do video's... So I thought, why not do an empties blog post? I can't be the only one who likes to hear (or read) all the mini reviews on peoples trash, lol. So here is mine!

First up: skin care. I have very weird skin... extremely dry in some places, but I still tend to get pimples in those dry patches. I usually can't use the same moisturizer for more than a year before it starts to break me out again. So I'm very picky with what I put on my face.

L'Oreal Skin Perfection sample. As I mentioned, I have really weird skin. So before buying a new moisturizer, I usually ask for a sample, so I can test it to see how my skin reacts to it. This was really nice. It hydrates my skin, making it nice and soft and didn't cause me to break out. So I bought the full size version.

Full size L'Oreal Skin Perfection
The one thing that is a stable in my routine is my make-up remover. I use the Etos brand eye and lip make-up remover (Etos is a Dutch drug store). It's very gentle and even removes waterproof make-up. And it's cheap. This bottle lasts me for about 4-5 months and I paid € 2.89 for it.

Kruidvat Q10 eye cream. This is another little gem in my opinion. It's very hydrating, reduces dark circles and puffiness. This little tube lasted me for 6 months and only set me back € 2,49! Can't beat that!

Diadermine night cream. I used this up a while ago, but never gotten around to throwing it away. I liked it, but it wasn't exceptionally good. Just an average moisturizing night cream.

Diadermine make-u remover wipes. Oh... my... god!!! These were awefull!!! They did take off my make-up really well, but they stung my face like nobody's business! I hated them! And the worst part? I bought them on sale, buy 2 get 2 free, so I'm stuck with 3 more packs!

Philosophy Hope in a jar for dry skin. I LOVE this cream, love, love, love it! It made my skin feel so soft and smooth, no dryness, no break outs, just soft, hydrated skin. I scraped the last bit out of the jar and almost cried a little when it was gone, because this baby is € 40 and I just couldn't afford to spend that much on a moisturizer right now.

Philosophy Hands of Hope. Great hand cream, really enjoyed it, but soooo expensive! For a full review, click here.

Make-up items. I use a lot of different brands, drugstore and high end on my face, but I don't tend to use up a lot... Whenever I throw away a foundation, eye shadow or lipstick, it's usually because its just getting to old and gross. But this time I actually used up everything!

Maybelline The Falsies Flared mascara in black. My favorite mascara, I love everything about it! The brush is curved and thin, it defines my lashes, gives me lenght and volume and it's really black. The only bad thing is that it starts to flake a little when it's almost gone.

Maybelline The Rocket mascara in black. When I first started using this mascara, I didn't like it at all! I hated the big ass brush and I got mascara everywhere. So I started layering it with my Falsies mascara and that worked really well! It gave me long, defined, voluminous lashes and I started to like the Rocket. When I finished The Falsies, I just used the Rocket and that gave my pretty much the same result. Love it! Have allready repurchased :D

E.L.F. Cosmetics eye lash curler. Ok curler, but it pinched a little and at the end it started to pull out my lashes... Time to go!

Catrice Prime and Fine Face Primer. Did an ok job, but that smell... I can't get used to it. It smells like peaches, but in a chemical kinda way... not nice and it lingers. Even though it's a cheap primer (€ 4,99) I won't repurchase.

L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Cream for light skin. Can you say carrot? Enough said...

Urban Decay Primer Potion. Great stuff! Would repurchase, but Sephora decided to close all their shops here and that was the only place I could get UD products... big bummer...

Dior Addict lipstick in 222. This is the first time ever I finished a lipstick. I actually scraped out the last bits with a lipbrush, because I loved it so much. It's a brownish, nude color with a lot of shine. It was the perfect nude color for me, my lips but much, much better. I am looking all over for this baby, but Dior decided to take this color out of production... Of course, story of my life!

L'eau D'issey Florale by Issey Miyake. Really nice perfume, fresh, clean and a little fruity, but not to sweet. I got this as a gift from my in-laws and I really enjoyed it.

And now, the nailpolish stuff... I always finish 1-2 bottles of nail polish remover each month, but when I finish a bottle, I stuff my used cotton balls in it, so I didn't take a picture of it. I didn't think you needed to see that.

Can you tell I like my Seche Vite, lol?
I was cleaning out my nail drawer and discovered a load of empty SV bottles. I ment to poor them all together and try to use some of it, but it's just to goopy. That's the reason I'm currently trying a new topcoat. I just feel like I throw away so much product...

CND Stickey base coat. My favorite base coat. I tried a different one, but that wasn't a succes... click here for my horror story. After that, I quickly went back to my trusty and much loved stickey base coat.

Essence Studio Nails base coat. I've had this for so long and never use it anymore. It was just time to say goodby. Nothing wrong with it, I just like my Stickey better.

Bourjois nail polish remover pot. I like this product, but it gets dirty so fast and when it does, it stains my nails... Just not worth the pricetag when I can get my Essence remover for € 2.39 and I like it better.

And finally, I used up 2 Bath and Body Works votive candles.

I love B&BW candles, but I can only get the baby ones, because of the shipping. I burned Marshmallow Fireside and Bonfire Maplewood this past month and I love these scents! If anyone can send me the three wick versions for these candels without me having to pay around $ 50 for shipping alone, please let me know!

T'hat's it for now, I hope you enjoyed reading about my trash, lol.
