Barry M Berry Cosmo

Sometimes I have a hard time choosing a polish to paint. I sit in front of my stash for hours, looking at different polishes, but nothing looks right to me. Yesterday was one of those days, so I did what I normally do when I just can't make up my mind: I let my husband pick a polish!

He has great taste in polish, but he always picks a red polish, because... well... in his words: if it isn't red, it isn't polish! So you can imagine my surprise when he picked this one.

Barry M Berry Cosmo is a gorgeous deep, vampy berry cream. It's so gorgeous and I'm really happy hubs picked it out, because to be honest, I forgot I had this... Berry Cosmo is part of the core line and is widely available.

The formula is really good, opaque in 2 thin coats, not too thick and not too thin, it dries fast and extremely glossy. You don't really need to add a top coat, but I always do to prolong the wear time of my mani.

This is right up my ally, I love a nice, vampy polish and this is exactly that. Deep, warm berry cream, perfect for fall and winter, but it's nothing too spectacular. You can find this kind of color from a lot of brands, both OPI and China Glaze have something similar, but this kind of color is always a staple in my collection.

Barry M is not easy to find here, but we do have a couple of stores that sell it, like River Island and you can get it online from the Barry M site (they ship internationally).

Barry M Blood Orange

I love Barry M polishes, they are inexpensive and great quality. I have several of these polishes and they never let me down. I especially love the gelly line, because those polishes are so glossy and colorful. Despite the name, none of the polishes in the Gelly line have a jelly finish, but they do have the shine of a jelly. Today I have a great one for you.

Barry M Blood Orange is a bright red polish.

The formula is absolutely amazing! It flows on the nail and dries really fast and super shiny. I was ready to do my normal 2-3 coats, but this little beauty totally surprised me. this is just 1 coat! Jup, a 1 coater, can you believe it? To be fair, I would add a second coat next time, just because I have a lot of ridges in my nails and polish always looks better with 2 coats, but you can totally get away with just 1.

It's such a bright, cheery red, perfect for spring and summer. Red nails always make me happy, but this did a particular good job of that. The wear time was really good too, I had this on my nails for 4 days without major tipwear and no chipping at all.

Barry M Red Black

I've heard a lot about Barry M polishes, but since they are not available over here, I never tried one. That is, untill my friend decided to order just a few and asked if I wanted to join in. I thought long and hard for about 10 seconds before I said YES! I chose 3 to start with, so I could see if I liked this brand or not.

When I got my polishes, I instantly loved the colors and couldn't wait to try them out on my nails. Today I have the first one for you. Barry M Red Black is a blackish red cream polish, like the name says. It's extremely dark, from a distance it does look black, but up close you can definitely still tell it's red.

The formula is perfect, not too thick, not too thin. Opaque in 2 thin coats and it dries fast and shiny. On the first coat, you could really tell it's a red polish and the second coat darkened it up to what you see in my pictures. This is such a perfect color for me! Dark, vampy, twisty goodness, I love it!

I am an instant fan of Barry M. Not only was it easy to apply, fast drying and absolutely gorgeous, it didn't chip on me at all. I wore it for 4 days without chips. On day 4 I noticed a little bit of tipwear, but that was it. If you can get your hands on some Barry M polishes, go for it! They're definitely worth the money.
