Mani Monday: Accent China Glaze Four leaf Clover

Its Monday again!!!
That means it's time for Mani Mondays :D
This monday's theme is Accent.

I had this really cool idea to do a great accent with OPI Solitaire, Essie Hip-Anema and striping tape. It looked stunning on my nail wheel, but on my nail... brrrr... total failure...
So I decided to do something else for the Accent theme and practice a little more with the striping tape.

I grabbed one of my favorite polishes, China Glaze Four Leaf Clover,  from the Up & Away 2010 collection.

It's so much more.. vibrant green... in real life

What a winning combination! Clover is such a gorgeous spring green color and really pops on the nail (why this beauty does not like to be photographed is beyond me... It's notorious for not showing true to color in pictures, so mine are no different unfortunately).

2 coats clover, 1 coat SV

Four leaf clover is a really nice polish, one of my favorite colors for spring and summer. The formula is a little on the thick side, but only a little. 2 coats to get opaque, but if you're in a hurry, you could get away with one coat. Bright, summer, grass green with a shiny finish. It dries fast and stays on my nails really well.

The only problem I have with this polish, is the fact that I just can not get a decent picture of it...

For my accent nail, I painted one coat of Clover and topped this with 2 coats of China Glaze Atlantis from the speciality glitter collection 2009.

Atlantis is a green/teal jelly base packed with micro holo glitter. It is a sheer polish and on it's own it would take about 4 coats to get opaque, depending on how thick your coats are. But with an opaque polish underneath, you'll only need 2 coats.


Accent nail: 1 coat Clover, 2 coats Atlantis, 1 coat SV

The formula of this polish is perfect! Not to thick, a nice amount of glitter, it glides on the nail, so no need for dabbing and it dries really fast, shiny and sparkly. I love it!

This is a must have in my book :D
